HTC (Hood to Coast) has been the longest marathon relay around the world for 35 years since been established in 1982 at Portland. The whole tract is as long as 315km, which separated into thirty-six different trials, from Portland Mount Hood at an altitude of 1800 meters to the quaint coastal town of Pacific City. Every team has twelve runners to accomplish the goal in thirty-two hours.
August, 2016, Pou Sheng INT’L became the sole business partner of Nike at
Asia area to be invited to this world-renowned marathon. Pou Sheng gathered the
best marathon runners nationwide. This team had been through harsh training
from China to Portland. After long period of preparation, Pou Sheng INT’L
finished at NO.132 of all 1050 participants with record of twenty-seven hours
fifty-six minutes, one hour twenty-one minutes faster than previous target.
This marathon team was formed of Pou Sheng employees from different
districts around the country. They took challenge and fulfill the greatness with
teamwork which embody the soul of HTC perfectly.
Pou
Sheng is one of the biggest global business partners of Nike. The participation
in HTC proves that it’s Winning Partnership for both sides. Later
on the glee feast at Shanghai, Nike announced the “500 Pou Sheng Running Ambassador” and came up with the concept of “Athlete service Athlete” to
enhance further cooperation with Pou Sheng.
Hood
to Coast might not be the universal experience for everyone. However, this pure
joy of running and saint spirit of team work. Worth praising loudly and
eulogized by everyone.
